Marko Niemi

Marko Niemi (b. 1974) is a Jyväskylä-based poet and editor-in-chief of Nokturno.org, a website for digital, visual, sound and other experimental poetry. He’s also a long-time active member of Nihil Interit poetry society and one of the founding members of Poesia cooperative. His digital and other poems have appeared on many Finnish and international publications, and he has performed and presented his work in Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Russia, Sweden and the United States.

Recently, Niemi has focused mainly on performing sound poetry together with Miia Toivio. Their collaborative book of poems is forthcoming in Autumn 2011.
